
Dr. Timothy D. Imler is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and serves as the Medical Director for Springmill (Carmel) and Anson (Zionsville) clinics.
He graduated from Miami University in 2002 with degrees in Finance and Zoology and attended Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine graduating in 2006. He completed his Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Medical Informatics Fellowships at Indiana University finishing in 2013. He served as Chief Medical Resident at Indiana University Hospital and joined the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2013.
Dr. Imler is a proud husband to Geri and father to Abigail, Emma, and Sophie. He was born in Chicago and grew up in Ohio. His father was a Nephrologist (kidney specialist).
Dr. Imler enjoys traveling and outdoor activities with his family.
Dr. Imler sees patients throughout the Indianapolis suburban campuses (Springmill/Anson/Saxony/North) and serves as faculty at University Hospital on the inpatient teaching service. His clinical interests are general gastroenterology, colorectal cancer screenings and surveillance, and quality improvement in endoscopy. Dr. Imler’s research interests are in combining medical informatics tools within gastroenterology to improve patient outcome.
