Cirrhosis-ICU Mortality Model (CIMM)

On Dialysis :
Creatinine :
Total Bilirubin:
Ventilated on first day ICU admission:

The Cirrhosis-ICU Mortality Model (CIMM) uses additional data from first day ventilation to add additional mortality risk to the MELD Score

Formula :

(3.8[Ln serum bilirubin (mg/dL)] + 11.2[Ln INR] + 9.6[Ln serum creatinine (mg/dL)] + 6.4) + Additional weighting for ventilation status.

Explanation of Result :

MELD ICU 0-1 = Low Risk 7-day mortality (9-33%)
MELD ICU 2 = Intermediate Risk 7-day mortality (27-56%)
MELD ICU 3-4 = High Risk 7-day mortality (71-74%)
