GI Hep.com was started in 2009 out of frustration with the lack of access for clinically relevant calculators on the Internet for Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The resources that were available were widely dispersed and sometimes inaccurate.

Currently GIHep is the largest resource for clinical (and research) calculations for Gastroenterology and Hepatology on the Internet and will be expanding the scope of content in the near future.

 

Calculators

At GIHep we offer a wide variety of clinical calculators in order to allow you to treat your patients. Calculators range from clinical decision aids (Blatchford, Rockall) to measures of likelihood (Fibrosis 4, NAFLD Score). Feel free to suggest additional tools for addition to GIHep. Remember that these recommendations are to be interpreted by a clinician for application.

Quick Access Subdomains

We are adding the capability to quickly and efficiently get to the desired calculator by using subdomains to point directly to the content. For example try http://meld.gihep.com and you will go directly to the MELD calculator. The same is true for Fibrosis 4, CDAI, etc. We will be adding additional functionality like this going forward to make this the most useful site for Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
